Invisalign

What is Invisalign?

The Invisalign® treatment includes a set of removable and clear braces that are designed to straighten teeth, correct gaps, relieve crowding difficulties, and resolve problems with the middle bite. It is the brand name of an orthodontic technology known as a clear light teeth aligner used as a treatment method in orthodontics. A flexible thermoplastic material known as a smart track makes up Invisalign. This material is designed to prevent causing any damage or pain in the mouth. What Invisalign does is it’ll align your teeth and jaw in a way that is almost undetectable to others. You may also be able to eat your favourite foods with your teeth whenever you want by removing them quickly. This gives you a lot of options. You don’t need to worry about maintaining good oral hygiene or flossing if you use Invisalign since the process of cleaning your teeth won’t be any different than if you didn’t have it.

It is important to note that Invisalign is not totally invisible, although it is far less obvious than traditional braces. In addition, the process takes significantly less time than orthodontics does. You should make an appointment every week to have your teeth remodelled and fitted with new Invisalign aligners. Invisalign is one of the teeth straightening aligners that is an alternative to traditional braces. Unlike conventional braces, Invisalign does not require any wires, metal, or other installations in the patient’s mouth. Instead, your dentist will place a plastic mould in your mouth to simulate the missing tooth. Aligners from Invisalign are an excellent choice for patients of any age, including children, teenagers, and adults. However, orthodontic therapy is highly common among adults who had braces when they were younger but did not wear an aligner to prevent their teeth from sliding out of alignment while they wore their braces.

Comparing Clear Invisalign Braces to Traditional Braces

Clear braces like Invisalign may fix a lot of different orthodontic issues. However, traditional metal braces are still frequently required to correct more difficult alignment and biting problems. After a comprehensive examination of your mouth and assessing your adjusting requirements, our dentist will provide you with the most appropriate recommendation.

You may remove your Invisalign braces whenever you want to eat, allowing you to continue enjoying your favourite foods without restriction. Using traditional orthodontics will prevent you from doing this. Additionally, you may remove them to clean and brush your teeth without having to worry about food particles being stuck between the wires and brackets attached to your teeth.

What Is the Process of Getting Invisalign?

The procedure of getting Invisalign is often very straightforward. To begin, you will make an appointment for a consultation to determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign and whether or not your desired result can be achieved through treatment with Invisalign. After that, if it has been determined that you are qualified for the procedure, our dentist will give you an estimate of the cost of your treatment plan. And she will address every one of your concerns. If treatment is approved, our dentist will take impressions of the teeth and the lower and upper jaws and photograph the smile and teeth from the outside and inside of the mouth. After that, she will send Invisalign a detailed treatment plan and evaluation of your case. And our dentist will estimate your treatment length. Dr. Nabawi will provide her approval for your teeth aligners to be created after carefully reviewing and considering the treatment plan. It takes roughly two to three weeks, on average.

You will schedule an appointment to have your dental aligners fitted as soon as we create them based on your specifications. Following the treatment plan that you have selected, our dental practitioner will glue some tiny pieces of tooth-coloured resin to a few of your teeth. Then, as part of the teeth-straightening procedure, your clear Invisalign dental aligners will click onto them and apply gentle pressure to assist shift the teeth. They will provide a slight amount of pressure in order to help move the teeth during the process of straightening their teeth. Before moving on to the next set of dental aligners, the patient will wear the current set for one to two weeks. In addition, the teeth will gradually shift until you wear all of the dental aligners, at which point you will have achieved the greatest outcome possible. The exact instructions depend on the situation. When it comes time for delivery, Dr. Maryam Nabawi will provide them.

Benefits of Invisalign

Simpler oral hygiene: Invisalign makes maintaining good oral hygiene simple. Because these dental aligners are plastic, you can remove them easily, making them simpler to clean and floss frequently. You may remove your invisible teeth aligners before eating and drinking with the Invisalign treatment plan, which reduces the amount of food stuck between your teeth. Additionally, it helps to relieve any dental problems, such as cavities.

No Need for Many Office Visits: It is much more challenging to remember when you have an appointment with your dentist when life is so chaotic. Therefore, in these circumstances, Invisalign can assist you because they only require a dental visit once every six weeks just to be maintained. As a result, it will enable you to spend less time in the dentist’s office and reduce the number of appointments you need.

Comfort: Invisalign clear aligners are sleek, smooth, and fit snuggly to the teeth. For this reason, they cause very little irritation to the inside of your mouth or your gums. When you first use a new set, minor soreness may occur as your teeth shift to accommodate the new clear aligners. But the soreness goes away quickly.
